We have switched shopping carts here to eliminate some difficulties we were having and all is good again! We are now using Mal’s E-Commerce which is a great cart. It’s free for the basic version too. It’s great for if you already have a website design because it just provides you with the Add to Cart buttons and your pages can therefore be designed any way you want. Here’s a link to their site if you would like more information: www.mals-e.com.
As if being sick wasn’t enough, we’re now experiencing some technical difficulties with the website. Some pages are still viewable, like the Web Design Quote Request, portfolio and feedback pages but the rest we are working on. Thank you for your patience, and we apologize for the inconvenience!
The last two days have been horrendous around here, with all of us (except for the baby) suffering from pretty nasty sickness that we think is from food poisoning. Tomorrow we should be back to running full speed again.
Also, as a result of a couple of changes around here and the announcement that rates will be going up April 1st, I have had a wave of Web Design Quote Requests come in. Normally I get these out the next day but it will probably be a few day turnaround instead until things calm down.
Since finding someone to take over all the e-commerce related products and services, leaving me to focus on design, I wanted to re-do my site to be a little more creative and different - not so straight-forward. I have been wanting to do something like this for a very long time. I love the clean look of sites with white backgrounds and simple, yet colorful, graphics. So here it is! I know it’s not a new concept but I like it! ![]()
On April 1st, 2006 some of our prices and policies will be changing. If you are already on our waiting list and the price change takes effect before we start on our project, you will still receive the old pricing. New clients >> Submit a Quote Request before April 1st to be added to our waiting list and lock in your project at the current rates. When it’s time to begin your project we will send you an email. A 75% deposit of the quoted amount will then be due within 3 days or we will not be able to honor the pricing and will move on to the next person on the list. Policy changes will include the requirement of 75% down before beginning a project instead of 50%.
We still specialize in e-commerce web design for small business using Pie Cart Pro Site Builder as your shopping cart software and content management system. We highly recommend this easy-to-use system that is full of great features to make your customers have a great experience at your site and want to come back, like a built-in gift registry, affiliate program, wholesale area and more. View our portfolio for samples of sites that use Pie Cart Pro. Click here to request a quote.
Pie Cart Pro users:
WAHM E-Commerce has this support forum (www.wahm-ecommerce.com/support) to help take care of your questions and support requests regarding Pie Cart Pro. There are some tutorials posted on the website and in the forum to help answer the most frequently asked questions. You can also contact Tricia for help at customerservice@wahm-ecommerce.com.
Red Peach Designs Hosting account holders:
In the next week or so, you will be receiving an email about the billing for your hosting account. Because most of the billing is done through PayPal subscriptions, which links to my account, it will have to be changed so it goes to the new owner’s account. Our goal is to get the majority of you set up on new subscriptions starting March 15th, so we will be calculating the pro-rated amount for each of your accounts for moving the billing date to the 15th and sending information on how to set up the new subscription.
I will be working closely with Tricia and Bill during the switch to help make things go as smoothly as possible!

I am so thankful to have worked with all of you over the last two years! I started out doing just web design and over the last two years have added many more services in an effort to give my clients everything needed to run their online stores. Well, my family has grown as well as my responsibilities outside of my business and so it is now time for me to return to what I did originally, just design. Upon making this decision, I went on the hunt to find the right person to continue what I started.
A few weeks ago I split the Red Peach Designs website into two in preparation for finding the right person to take over the web hosting and shopping cart services. I kept all design-related services on the Red Peach Designs website and moved all e-commerce related services to this new site, WAHM E-Commerce.
And I am now very excited to announce the new owners of WAHM E-Commerce: Bill and Tricia Ballad!
Bill and Tricia are very excited to take on the unique opportunities WAHM E-Commerce presents! Tricia is a WAHM herself – she is the co-owner of the Balter Catalogue Company and a successful freelance writer. She has big plans to use her writing talents to provide lots of new content to help you become a more informed, educated entrepreneur. Bill is the technical guru of the family. He has over 10 years of experience as a PC technician, server & network administrator, and network security engineer.
Watch WAHM E-Commerce in the next few weeks as Bill and Tricia add many new products and services, including content development, search engine optimization, and articles covering all aspects of the WAHM world from sales tax to maintaining a professional image when your office doubles as a playroom.
